I had no idea how many apples are on a tree. I told Richard I would pay him a penny an apple to pick them up. He first told me he earned $7.00...wow, I thought. Then I got busy and didn't pay any attention to what he was doing. When he told me he had earned $18.00....I told him to stop. "Don't pick up one more apple!" haha... 1800 apples and they are still falling. This is the next bunch. Beckie and I are cutting them up and cooking them for apple cobblers this year. Richard still looks longingly at the apples as he walks by.
