Stan's pic for Mike to see

Here is the Russian doll he likes.

Temple Dedication

James had an amazing experience yesterday. He got to be an usher at the temple. He got the VIP job. So that included the general authorities. He got to be the usher for President Oaks, President Uchtdorf, and then the prophet, President Monson.

The dedication was really wonderful. We were the last of 12 dedications. Our chapel has been used for the last two months for busing people up to the open house. Cars have been lined down the street. It has been a once in a life-time experience.

Tonight James won a scholarship to BYU and a placement on the back-up tour team. He also did a fantastic job with his team with latin tonight. The team won first. They were more than amazing. I will have to put some clips on. Here are some pics which I'm going to buy...but I wanted you to see James dance.

Rich is coming home today

His PRC numbers are down to 4.6 so they are letting him come home today. They are really happy about the numbers dropping. They didn't let him eat last night incase they were going to do surgery today. He is getting spoiled at Children's hospital because he orders room service whenever he wants.

Pictures of Rich

Rich just got out from surgery. They found a lot of infection. It has even traveled into the growth plate. It really is serious. He could have one leg longer than the other, so they are worried. They also put a PICC line in that will stay for 4 to 6 weeks. A soft cast in on his leg right now and he will get a hard cast in a week. His teacher gave him a ticket for a speedy recovery. He took it into surgery with him to show the doctor.

Rich in the Hospital

Richard is having surgery today

This picture is Rich getting his MRI on Sunday. He took a turn for the worse last night. He will have surgery today around 4. They will drill a hole into his bone and clean out the infection today. Please keep your prayers with him.

Whale Beached Heceta Head

I was sent these pictures from a friend in Oregon. A sad event to have a whale die and get washed up.

Update on Richard

Rich has a bone infection. The doctor is thinking it isn't a joint infection...so they are pleased it is not a joint infection...because that is more dangerous than a bone infection. They just drew fluid out of his bone and ankle. He will be staying here for at least 3 days. He is excited for the food, books, and video games. If the medicine doesn't work in two days..they will go in and scrap the bone and take the infection out.

Richard at Children's Hospital

Rich has been running a high fever for a week an a half. At the same time is foot is hurting. So....to say the least, he has been home all week. We thought it was contagious, but now we don't think so. It must be something in his foot. He is bored sitting so long and waiting. We are too...but know we have to wait for the tests. He now has an IV in him and they have already taken another x-ray of his lower leg. Ok..update...Now the orthopedic doctors are going to get involved. We are looking into bone or joint problems.

Technology Conference UCET

Today I had a great time at the UCET Technology Conference. Here is a link to some of the classes I went to. getfunky.wikispaces.com and "Click here for the Archives of the Conference 2009" On this link they have links to the night sky. Its cool. You type in the location and time and it brings up the night sky. Then you can press a button and the constellations show up as animals. Take your lap top outside and you can see the night sky and a map on your lap! Adobe Acrobat 09 was really cool. You can take a picture of text out of a book with a camera and drop it into this new updated Acrobat and then push some buttons..and then poof...convert the words to Microsoft word...amazing. I think you could then put it into "Readthewords.com" and then it would read it for you. Make that into a mp3! Oh yeah! I love that!

Report Cards

For the last two nights I have been doing Parent/Teacher conferences. Even though it is a lot of work to get the grades on the paper, it is my favorite time to visit. Parents are amazing! Each one really wants the best for their children. I have never met a parent that was not looking for the best in everything for their child. Well....I do have a perfect class. Perfect doesn't mean they don't do anything wrong, it means they are perfect for me.
